Class Teacher Early Years and KS1
We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring, and creative teacher to join our successful and friendly primary school just outside Lewes.
This role is for 4 days a week with a start date from April 2026. It’s a wonderful opportunity to become part of a supportive school community where you can make a real difference.
We warmly welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and will provide a comprehensive induction, mentoring, and ongoing professional development to support your success
The successful candidate will:
- Have a strong knowledge of the curriculum and understand the role of assessment in securing progress.
- Have experience working within KS1 or KS2 (although this is not essential for ECTs).
- Be passionate about providing high-quality learning opportunities.
- Be an excellent practitioner with high expectations for all pupils.
- Show a firm commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities.
- Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.
- Demonstrate excellent organisation and communication skills.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
- Support and contribute to the ethos of our school
