Respectful Robins class is the oldest class in the school. We are the leaders and the role models to the rest of the children in the school.
The older children look very smart in their jade coloured jumpers which show that they are all responsible members of the school community.
We are lucky to have a set of laptops and iPads, which we are able to use to support us in our lessons and reinforce learning through games and activities. We have a super selection of books in our class library.
Another thing we love in Respectful Robins Class is our creative homework menu that is linked to our learning journey which allows us to choose a homework to complete that interests us - such as art based activities or more scientific activities.
'Why did the ancient Maya change the way they lived?'
We will also be exploring the following questions and linking the learning back to the work we did on the Vikings.
'Why did the ancient Maya change the way they lived?
How is the social hierarchy of the Mayans organised? What effect does this system have on society today?'
The children will also explore the Mayan culture; the Gods and their beliefs; and the rich and the poor.
Homework goes out on a Thursday and is due in the following Tuesday.
