Religious Education intent

The value of religious education: Are we listening?

RE Intent

RE explores big questions about life, to find out what people believe and what difference this makes to how they live. RE helps pupils to make sense of religions and beliefs, reflecting on their own ideas and ways of living. Religious Education encourages children to explore their own beliefs (whether they are religious or non-religious) as they examine issues of religion, belief and faith and how these impact on personal and social ethics. They can express their own responses, thereby building their ability to make skilled judgements and prepare for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.
