East Sussex County Council makes the arrangements for the admission of children to Chailey St Peter's CE Primary School who will be joining Reception each September.

Parents who are seeking admission to the school for their children at age 4 should refer to the East Sussex County Council website for a detailed description of the process:

The Published Admissions Number (PAN) for Chailey St Peter's CE Primary School is 20 places.

If you have a child in years 1 to 6 and are considering moving them to Chailey St Peter's School, please contact the school office to ascertain whether there is a space and/or arrange to have a tour of the school. The current admissions criteria used for determining the allocation of places, including over subscription criteria,  are applied in the order set out below:

1. Looked after children and children who were looked after, but ceased to be so because they were adopted immediately following being looked after;
2. Children who will have a brother or sister at the school at the time of admission and who live at the same address, within the pre-defined community area;
3. Other children living within a pre-defined community area;
4. Children who will have a brother or sister at the school at the time of admission and who live at the same address, outside the pre-defined community area;
5. Other children.
